Girl group Kara were reborn into fairies in Southern Asia. Recently finishing up their 2nd album promotions, in order to take pictures and recharge themselves, Kara went to Guam. The members completely fell victim to their first meeting with Southern Asia's charms. They were able to escape from their tiring schedules and enjoy their freedom. They were also able to temporarily forget about their diet.

After napping and enjoying their brunch, they played in the water under the sun. From the rather large natives, they learned to say a greeting by shaking their thumb and pinky fingers and saying "Hafa Adai". The natives somehow knew how to say "pretty" in korean toward the fairies of Kara. Kara's short but sweet 5 day 4 night trip to Guam was revealed to Sports Korea.

Part 1: Into the ordinary


They may have arrived late at night on an airplane, but there were no signs of being tired on the members of Kara. As soon as the water park opened, without deciding who would go first, they jumped onto the tube. As they reverted back to the state of children, they didn't want to leave the water. The youngest Jiyoung's innocent face was very impressive.

It features 4minute's HyunA as a fashion designer who owns a store in Dongdaemoon. Personally, I think that the role fits HyunA quite well, since she has previously expressed an interest in pursuing a career in fashion - so this role must've been like a dream come true for her!


The drama depicts her as a busy girl who clings onto her dream to become a successful fashion designer. Among the things she does to make this dream come true is designing outfits for herself and her friends to wear for a hip-hop concert.

When HyunA was asked about this role, she said, "It was really special for me since my fellow 4minute members were acting alongside me. And I really love this role since I've always been interested in fashion, and I'm planning to major in fashion in college."

A storm has been brewing on the male side of the kpop world for the past few months, but it looks like the gals aren't exactly cruising either - SNSD was recently under fire for the song choice in their SamYang Ramen commercial. A Japanese blog has connected the song in the background of the CF with the music used in Bubble Bobble, a popular Japanese arcade game.

Luckily, a representative from SamYang Ramen has cleared up the confusion, explaining that they had contacted the Japanese game company to use this music. "It's strange," an official commented about the situation. "We received permission to use this music, and the Japanese blogger was mistaken."

However, the damage of the misinformed blogger has been done - netizens from Korea and Japan are currently embroiled in a heated verbal argument online. Since the situation itself has been resolved, we hope that these arguments will die down soon.

Even though this song has caused a controversy between Korean and Japanese netizens, you can't deny that Samyang Ramen has good taste - thanks to the song choice, this commercial is adorable!

I'm sure many of you have got Park Bom's solo debut song You and I on repeat for the past few days; with its addicting melody and soulful lyrics, this track's got all the characteristics of a grade A hit. After releasing a tearjearking music video last week, YG Entertainment is back with a second MV for us all! Although similar to the first version, this so-called "Making Version" focuses less on plot and more on candid shots, peppering in some new footage as well. Check out the brand new music video here:

Since June, Lee Hyori had been working with Mnet Media to produce her 4th album for release in late 2009 ahead of her contract expiry with them this November. But it has been decided now that the album will be released in January or Feburary of 2010 instead.

According to a Mnet representative, "Our original plan was to release it in October or November. But in order to show the different charisma and style of Hyori, we spent slightly more time on collecting songs as we wanted to create a music album that sets trends. Although at this point, we have finished collecting the songs, but post-production work will mean that the album can only be released early next year."

He added, "Although the release date has been delayed again and again, but we believed that the ample time we have will help in producing a good album."

Lee Hyori to make comeback in early 2010

We recently discussed about the possibilities of Park Bom's performing her new solo single, You and I on stage. Well, we were definitely right, for Park Bom is now preparing for her first stage to start off her promotion! I guess the power of the fans' love can make anything possible.

YG Entertainment expressed that they had been staying away from promoting Park Bom's solo, just like Dara with her, Kiss single. Dara's song topped the various music charts, but did not go on any further other that. They had believed that a special promotion will throw them off focus from their November album release.

A representative from YG stated on the 2nd, "Recently, the release of 2NE1's new album got delayed, clearing the path for Park Bom to promote her single. Because of the love we received, we will not be rushing to complete this (2NE1) album. We will work hard to make sure that every song is of a title song calibre."

Park Bom, obviously nervous for her very first stage without her fellow 2NE1 girls by her side, said "I am very happy these days, but am feeling the added pressure. I will try my best to be beneficial to my 2NE1." She is currently in a hectic training schedule from day to night, so that she can keep her promise to be the best.

Her anticipated stage will be unveiled on November 8th through their favorite Inkigayo.

In light of the SM Entertainment mess that has been scuffed up in the past few hours, here's some lighter news about another member of the SME fam...

Many of you expressed much love for f(x)'s Chocolate Love track and music video, and it looks like this snazzy quintet is back with some more eye candy for us all! Following SNSD's second take at the song, f(x) has taken another stab and released another Chocolate Love music video just now with some extra oomph. With these fabulous four music videos, who can resist the temptation to buy one of those LG CYON Chocolate phones?

Halloween may be over, but indulge yourselves on this sweet surprise!

SHINee, who recently returned with their 3rd mini-album 2009, Year Of Us and title track Ring Ding Dong, has spoken up on behalf of SM Entertainment.

Joynews24 had conducted an interview with the members of SHINee and asked if they knew about them being called the "puppets" of SME.

SHINee responded with a resounding statement:



That's prejudice against SM Entertainment. SME gives us a lot of say and freedom. Even during our album preparations, they ask us for our opinions. The albums are released under our name and thus it is our music. The public appear to have a predjudice against idols. Just like how the same song, Chocolate Love, can be presented differently by two different groups, SNSD and f(x), we have our own opinion and own colour. The company supports us, no doubt. However, being forced to do something does not and should not happen.

SME helped us a lot in the beginning as we didn't really know what to do. But as we gained more experience, we start to express our opinions. The company reflects our opinions on many things such as the lyrics, pairing of members and our style. Without such supportive environment, we won't be able to sing our songs like we sing them now.


They also expressed their pride in their company:


SME listens to the artists' opinions and everyone is close, unlike other entertainment companies. Everyone respects each other and supports each other, just like you can see in Dream Concert or SM Concert. Artists of SME are trained well from the beginning to the point where people say that SME's artists are very well mannered.


Regarding f(x), a recent rookie group that debuted from SME, SHINee said;


We've seen them since they were trainees but didn't expect them to debut so quickly. Did not think Sulli would be so tall and beautiful, haha. Now we know what it feels like to have juniors, and we can see why groups that are senior to us have been so nice and caring to us. We're following the tradition by giving lots of advice to f(x).

Acclaimed R&B singer Lyn has been making waves with her return to the kpop scene - earlier today, the seasoned performer hit headlines with her ode to TVXQ's Junsu and Big Bang's Taeyang. The lucky noona also featured MBLAQ's Thunder in her New Celebration MV, riling up many fangirls as well.

Now, anyone in her position would be absolutely ecstatic, but Lyn's latest music video suggests otherwise... with its mellow melody and sad lyrics, True Story is a moving track with a melancholy video to boot. I don't know about you, but I had no idea who Lyn was prior to her comeback; however, all of these recent track releases are definitely getting me interested.
